Problem
The store had no online storefront outside of it's Instagram presence. The client wanted to provide customers more flexibility in browsing the store's holdings as well as include greater detail for each listing. In addition, the client also wanted custom logo and cursor assets.
Process
Shopify was selected due to its out-of-the-box technical infrastructure, high conversion rates, and app marketplace.
Graphic Design
The logo for the store needed to call back to a 90's era Aphex Twin typeface. I was provide with an image of characters that evoked this style and needed to convert them in to a font. I utilized Claude to trace the character shapes into vector outlines. These were then smoothed and built in to an installable font file. As a result, I was able to stylize the shop's name in what I called Windowlicker99, after the Aphex Twin song of the same name.

Ideation
I wanted to explore storefront layouts before committing to a design direction. I used Claude to provide me with low-fidelity layout variations of mobile e-commerce sites. I used Claude's output to talk through some early-stage scenarios with my customer. Ultimately, I moved in a slightly different direction in order to maximize product images.
